Rachel Lindley on the power of small business
As CEO of Five Talents, Rachel Lindley works across Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, South Sudan, Congo, Myanmar and Bolivia to build small savings groups harnessing the power of microfinance. With 100,000 members worldwide, they built an immense collection of stories of how small businesses, powered by small loans - can bring income and opportunity on a truly sustainable basis.
The groups are created and managed by each community, with power devolved almost completely from the UK office that Rachel leads - so we are going to bring you some interviews from the local partners very soon, bringing their voices to these discussions.
